While he moved to Mumbai several years ago to take his place among the most successful practitioners of the art and craft of television, he always felt like repaying a debt he owed to his ‘own city’ Meerut - a city that gave him a fine sensitivity and nurtured his creativity. Mr Consul feels that “Creativity is not an exclusive preserve of Big Cities. There are so many wonderful artists, originally coming from small towns, who have made remarkable contribution to the growth of films and television in Mumbai and other important centres in the country.
